Nominations for the new powerful £75,000-a-year Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner position are now open. The post-holder, elected on November 15, will be in charge of holding Cheshire Constabulary to account for the way it polices Nantwich and other towns.
Helen King has joined the Cheshire Police team of chief officers as Deputy Chief Constable. She re-affirmed the oath which gives police officers policing powers, witnessed and signed by Moira Chapman, a magistrate and member of Cheshire Police Authority.
