Three talented business students made the most of their summer holidays by completing a six-week paid internship with Virgin Trains.
Oliver Brady, 17, from Nantwich, Daria Bialynska, 18, from Crewe, and Georgia Owen, 18, from Woore, are studying a BTEC in Business Studies at South Cheshire College.
Nantwich Town manager Danny Johnson is looking to bring the club’s youth team closer to the first team. And now he is inviting interested school leavers or young footballers not offered a scholarship with a professional football club, a chance to join his first team squad for pre-season training.
A new Nantwich Football Academy run by Nantwich Town and Malbank School & Sixth Form College, will kick off in September. Sixteen-year-olds can study for a BTEC Diploma in Sport at Malbank Sixth Form while being coached at Nantwich Town FC.
