Nantwich Museum bids to buy Bronze Age “Wrenbury Hoard”

Nantwich Museum is bidding to buy a late Bronze Age collection of items known as “Wrenbury Hoard”.

The collection of seven objects are believed to around 3,000 years old and was discovered in the Wrenbury area of Nantwich.

Volunteers rebuild 4,000-year-old Bronze Age house at Beeston Castle

A Bronze Age house is being reconstructed by English Heritage volunteers at Beeston Castle near Nantwich – 4,000 years after it disappeared.

Workers are using authentic tools and archaeological evidence informed by the recent discoveries at the Bronze Age settlement in Cambridgeshire as well as earlier discoveries at Beeston Castle.
