Parents say plans for a car park at a Nantwich primary school could save lives. They are calling on Cheshire East Council to accept a revised application for a 43-space car park on land next to Broad Lane School, Stapeley.
Plans a for controversial 600-home development in Stapeley, Nantwich, will come under the spotlight again next week. And now updated “Nantwich South” proposals include a new village school to cater for hundreds more families.
A fire crew from Nantwich was called out to a chip pan blaze at a house in Stapeley. Crews were called to a property on Broad Lane where the fire had already been extinguished.
A councillor has dismissed rumours that a proposed gypsy site in the Stapeley area of Nantwich is back on the cards. Cllr Peter Groves (pictured) spoke out about the site off Broad Lane which was originally considered by Cheshire East Council among 11 possible locations.
A Nantwich primary school will be hosting Santa and a ‘Secrets Room’ at their Christmas Fair on December 9. Stapeley Broad Lane school’s fair will feature a range of games and stalls during the event between 5pm and 7pm.

Campaigners fighting to prevent more housing development in the Stapeley area of Nantwich have launched a new website to encourage others to join the protest. The site, www.protectstapeley.org.uk, highlights fears over potential development of 1,300 homes on land between Broad Lane, London Road, Peter De Stapleigh Way, and the bridleway known as Deadman’s Lane.
