Residents are joining Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish councillors in campaigning against plans to change their parish boundary.
Cheshire East Council has published a plan to break up the parish of Shavington-cum-Gresty.
Cheshire East will not take action at this time regarding the review of parliamentary constituencies, saying the suggested changes don’t impact significantly on the borough council, writes Belinda Ryan.
But the local authority does believe it may have to make representations during the second round of consultation, once Cheshire West and Chester Council makes its views known to the Boundary Commission.

A storm is brewing with Cheshire East’s political world — but it will not make land until 2022 at the earliest.
Parish councils can conjure up images of sleepy English villages and steam locomotives pulling in to a quaint station, but any proposed changes to boundaries and names often lead to an impassioned debate over what you call where you live.
Campaigners have drafted a 36-page report on how to protect Barony Park in Nantwich as residents witnessed the ninth unauthorised traveller encampment at the weekend.
Councillors joined Nantwich residents to measure out Barony Park in a bid to speed up action and install perimeter protection.
Members of Friends of Barony Park were joined by Nantwich Town Councillors David Marren and Cheshire East Council Leader Sam Corcoran in the exercise.
Nantwich residents are being urged to lodge their views as part of the Cheshire East Local Plan consultation, which highlights areas of the town centre that could be developed in future.
The consultation follows the adoption of the Local Plan Strategy in 2017.
