A play by Nantwich Young Farmers Club at Acton Parish Hall has helped raise more than £6,000 for local causes.
The ‘Dick Whittington’ production has benefited charities including Bloodwise and the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

The Lodge of Wych Malbank helped raise £1,600 at a hog roast fund-raising event at Corner Farm in Wybunbury.
The money has been given to Bloodwise, formerly known as Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Hankelow Village Fete helped to raise hundreds of pounds for local causes.
The event took place on Hankelow village green yesterday (June 19).
Saddle-sore cyclists Ben Reinhardt and Jim Forkin pedalled all 922 miles of the River Rhine to raise money for blood cancer charities.
The friends, from Willaston and Crewe, started their “Riding the River Rhine” adventure at the source of the Rhine in the Swiss Alps at Lake Toma.
A charity football match organised by a teenager in memory of his uncle, raised £470 for Bloodwise charity.
The event featured an 11-a-side match between Aidan FC and Leukaemia FC at Cumberland sports ground in Crewe.

Two South Cheshire friends are to cycle the length of the River Rhine in aid of Bloodwise charity.
Ben Reinhardt, from Crewe, and Jim Forkin,from Willaston, are spending September cycling the full river length of 860 miles.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
