Villagers in Nantwich are one step closer to securing a £400,000 lottery windfall to help build a new community hall. A fund-raising team from Worleston has made it through to the final stage in their Big Lottery Fund development grant bid.

Ben Miller to open revamped Nantwich play area

TV comedian and actor Ben Miller will open phase two of a popular new play area in his home town Nantwich. More work on the Stapeley recreation area, next to Pear Tree Primary School, will begin this week. It will see the area closed from September 21 for around four weeks.
