Beavers are native to Cheshire but they became extinct in England in the 16th century.
A scout group near Nantwich has urgently appealed for helpers for its beavers and cubs group which is facing closure.
Parents of youngsters at the 9th South West Cheshire Wrenbury group issued the appeal after the group’s executive committee stepped down.
A new Scout troop has been launched in Nantwich thanks to the success of the 7th Millfields Cubs and Beavers.
It means Nantwich now has two Scout troops to help it cope with demand for places.
