Detectives warned Nantwich residents today after saying two house burglaries in the town within hours of each other are linked.
The first happened on Birchin Lane while the householders were still asleep upstairs.
A man who climbed up scaffolding late at night in Nantwich and fell asleep had to be rescued by fire crews.
