Mrs Stockton passed away on Saturday (December 15) at the Cypress Court Nursing Home in Crewe.

The dance floor was filled with movers and groovers inspired by the Sounds of the Sixties, performed by nationally recognised tribute band The Revolvers.

Nantwich Town Council staff have created a town centre tribute to commemorate 100 years since guns fell silent on November 11 1918.

Angry residents in Nantwich have demanded an application for a through road on their estate to be stopped because of what they believe was an inadequate “engagement exercise” by council chiefs.

Members of the Edmund Wright Way Taylor Drive Action Group (EWWTD) have called on Nantwich Town councillors to support their calls for plans to link the two roads to be stopped.

Historic England has added the memorial, on the town square on High Street, to the list of buildings of ‘Special Architectural or Historic Interest’.
