Hundreds of Crewe and Nantwich women helped raise a staggering £175,000 when they took part in St Luke’s Midnight Walk.
Around 960 women lit up the streets between Nantwich and Crewe as the Walk was held for the 13th time.
Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson has hailed the opening of the new Crewe Engineering & Design UTC.
The school aims to teach and develop a new generation of engineers, innovators, technicians and designers.
Crewe Engineering & Design UTC has signed up Network Rail and Air Products as employer partners.
The new STEM-oriented school, which opens in September, is now partnered with 14 companies including Bentley Motors, Siemens, GE, James Walker, Leoni and Bosch.
