Police are hunting two men who attacked and tried to rob a taxi driver who picked them up in Nantwich. The Cars R Us driver was choked, hit and almost bitten in the face during the assault after the pick up on Wall Fields Road, Nantwich.
An inquest has been set into the death of a cyclist from Wistaston who died in a road accident on the busy A50. Retired estates manager David Allbutt, of Yew Tree Road, died after the collision on May 19 earlier this year.
