Visitors packed in to Nantwich town square for the popular Societies Spectacular event today (July 21).
Local groups and societies opened up stalls to promote what they do to a large audience in an event organised by Nantwich Town Council.
Nantwich Museum will honour the memory of town councillor Norma Simpson at a special coffee morning next week.
The event will be held in honour of the late Cllr Simpson, who served on the council since 2007 until her death earlier this month.
This year’s North West Triathlon in Nantwich will help raise vital funds for a dementia appeal.
The event, held at Nantwich Swimming Pool and Barony Park, will be donating to the Everybody Knows Somebody appeal run by Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.
Thousands of people will be descending on one of the biggest events of the year when Nantwich Show takes place next week.
And organisers will be relieved to see the weather is set fair for the next 10 days according to latest forecasts.
A talk on the powerful book “An Elephant in My Kitchen” will take place at Nantwich Bookshop on July 24.
The book tells the moving story of Françoise Malby-Anthony and her fight to protect a herd of elephants in South Africa.

The National Dance Company of Ireland visited the Crewe Lyceum with their show Rhythm of The Dance.
A rich celebration of Irish history and culture, this show was every bit as good as I hoped it would be.

The inaugural Cheshire Emergency Services Day in Nantwich has been hailed a big success.
The event, held at The Weaver Stadium yesterday (July 8) has helped to raise vital funds for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
