Author Eleanor Dixon will talk about her new book “Ballet School Rumours” when she visits Nantwich Bookshop and Coffee Lounge on June 17.
Eleanor used to be a ballerina and taught in her own ballet school in Greece.
Thousands enjoyed the return of the Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes event yesterday (June 11) for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic, writes Jonathan White.
Fig pies, made from a traditional recipe containing a hard pastry, were rolled from The Swan Inn pub down Main Road to see how far they would travel.

Queens Park in Crewe celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Queens Park in Crewe yesterday (June 3).
The celebration was free entry to all and took place from 11am to 6pm.
Nantwich bell-ringers will be in action today (June 3) as they perform a special three-hour Platinum Jubilee Peal at St Mary’s Church.
Starting at 10am, they will perform a peal of “Cambridge Surprise Major” in recognition of the Queen’s 70 years.
