Nantwich Choral Society is singing for joy after scooping an £8,000 Arts Council grant. It will help the group, which includes more than 100 members from across Cheshire, stage its most ambitious production to date – J S Bach’s St Matthew Passion.

I was simply presented with a tragic love story told in epic proportion, beautifully cast and wonderfully gritty.
The Nantwich Camera Club‘s Photographic Exhibition 2013 has launched at the town’s museum – and is proving a big hit. The display features 100 prints and projected image work by club members at the Pillory Street venue’s Millennium Gallery.
The Joe Loss Orchestra will be performing at the Nantwich Town Council Mayor’s Charity Dance in March. The band with its talented presenter Todd Miller makes a return to the Nantwich Civic Hall for the event on March 15.
The Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival is expected to inject more than £1 million into the town’s economy. And organisers have now agreed a deal with Reaseheath College to offer rooms for festival goers to stay for longer.
There’s still time to shimmy into the spotlight for this year’s “Strictly Learn to Dance 2013” event in Cheshire. And organisers are keen to sign up men for the event which last year raised £20,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.
These stunning images were worthy winners in Nantwich Camera Club‘s latest competition. Andrew Charlesworth scooped top prize in the Print class, while Mark Payne won in the Projected Image category.
