The Andrews Panto & Plays Society (TAPPS) is performing ‘Aladdin’ at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Bedford Street in Crewe.

It will be on Friday January 12 and 13 at 7pm each day with a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.

Nantwich Film Club is showing the comedy drama called Mindhorn on December 11.

Richard Thorncroft is a has-been British TV actor who used to be famous in the late 1980s for playing the charismatic lead role in the Isle of Man detective show Mindhorn, a character with a Robotic eye that can literally “see the truth”.

Other local groups have contributed to the scheme are Haslington Boys’ Brigade, The Dingle Primary School, Vine Tree Primary School, Rotary Club of Crewe and various individuals.
