A young Wistaston Scout leader has produced a fundraising 2018 calendar – to help raise money for the group’s new base.
The calendar is the idea of Ellie Newbrook, 17, from Nantwich, who is a Young Leader at the Wistaston Scout Group.
Thousands of people attended Remembrance Sunday parades or paused in silence wherever they were to honour those who gave their lives in battle.
Remembrance parades took place in Nantwich, Crewe, Wistaston and other villages around the region.

The annual ‘Holly Fair’ at Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston has helped to raise more than £1,800 for church funds.
In the entrance hall, there was a hamper made up of Fair Traded goods, sponsored by Wells Green Choir, and a stall of Traidcraft foods and Christmas gifts.

Wells Green Methodist Church has celebrated its 50th anniversary in their church building.
The church, on Brookland Avenue in Wistaston, opened in 1967.
Police are investigating allegations into Cheshire East Council’s air quality data and a public funds grant made to Berkeley Academy in Wistaston, the authority confirmed today.
