Burst water main keeps Rope Lane bridge closed

A major water main burst could keep the busy Rope Lane in Wistaston closed for another four days.

The burst happened earlier in the week, forcing Cheshire East Council to close off the Rope Lane bridge over the railway at the crossroads with Eastern Road and Gresty Lane.

Two HGVs collided on the A51 between Reaseheath and Henhull at around 2.30am, police said.
