And the “Thank Yew It’s Friday!” Festival will also toast the pub’s latest award after it was voted Best Freehouse in the North West at the Great British Pub Awards 2015.

Decibellas choir raises £1,900 at Bunbury concert

Decibellas Women’s Choir of Tarporley hosted a concert with Llangollen Male Voice Choir, to raise funds for St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.

The men’s motto “Cyfeillgarwch drwy Gan” (“friendship through song”), formed the theme with both choirs performing pieces from repertoires and joining for a rousing finale.

A well-known ice cream maker in Cheshire has been fined for safety failings after a worker’s finger was cut off by a fruit feeder machine.

Tattenhall Dairy Products Ltd, which operates at Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, was prosecuted by the Health and Safety Executive after the incident at Drumlan Hall Farm in August 2013.
