Wybunbury man found guilty of manslaughter of Audlem dad Adam Lovatt

A man has been found guilty of the manslaughter of Audlem businessman Adam Lovatt following a retrial.

Samuel Thorpe, 26, of Annions Lane, Wybunbury, was found guilty today at Liverpool Crown Court after a 10-day trial.

New ‘on demand’ rural Nantwich bus service launches

A new on-demand rural bus service to help reduce isolation and connect rural areas with Nantwich has been launched by Cheshire East Council.

The new “go-too” pilot scheme covers a large area south and west of Nantwich, including Bunbury, Wrenbury and Audlem and other villages, where no commercial services are available.

Rotting food has been left in garden waste bins in parts of Cheshire East where fortnightly collections have been missed because of a lack of staff.

Cllr Rachel Bailey (Audlem, Con) has called on the council’s audit and governance committee to look at how waste food is collected and how the scheme operates to see if anything can be done.
