A charity football match at the Alexandra Stadium in Crewe has raised £7,177.50 for The Christie.
The match was organised by Crewe Alexandra FC stadium announcer and lifelong fan Andrew Scoffin to raise vital funds for The Christie.
Nantwich Pirates just shaded Cuddington 4-3 in a game where fortunes changed in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Group A.
Cuddington went 0-1 up, only for Pirates to come back and lead 3-1.
Nantwich Town will play Crewe Alexandra and Chester among others as they build their pre-season programme.

Nantwich Town will host National League North side Chester FC in a pre-season friendly on Saturday August 7 at the Optimum Pay Stadium.

Calm 84 FC Crewe, a new charity football team in Crewe, have raised more than £850 in aid of cancer-hit young goalkeeper Ashton Hulme.
It was their first fund-raising match and they played a Crewe Alexandra Coaches XI at the Alexandra Stadium behind closed doors due to government Covid restrictions.
Nantwich racing driver Jordan Witt managed a fifth place best finish in his maiden visit to the Hockenheimring in Germany.
Witt was competing in round two of the 2021 Fanatec GT2 European Series, and it proved a bittersweet occasion.

The goal scorers for Nantwich were Kirsty Fisher-Sherratt (3), Marni Williams (2), and Emily Fallon.
