McDonald, who signed for the Dabbers in November, was booked twice in five minutes, summing up a miserable afternoon for Jimmy Quinn’s men who went down to a first half Steve Foster strike.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC moved into second place in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two after beating leaders Douglas 39-23 at the Vagrants. It was a fine win for the 1st team bouncing back from their 22-8 defeat at Sefton. They are now just two points behind new front-runners Oswestry.
By Ashley Houghton Nantwich Town will be looking to make it two successive away league wins when they visit high-flying Chorley FC tomorrow (December 10). Chorley, managed by former Blackburn and Manchester City player Gary Flitcroft, are 4th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury hosted a Christmas gymnastics display to show off to parents and spectators some of the centre’s talent. At the display, more than 200 spectators saw Crewe and Nantwich Sports Council committee members present two awards.

Nantwich Town will be at Wembley rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the game during FA Cup weekend. Club officials have been invited down to a conference because of their work as an FA Charter Standard Community Club.
Nantwich Town had to settle for a 1-1 draw against FC United of Manchester in front of more than 750 supporters at the Weaver Stadium. The hosts were the dominant side for most of the game, and should have sealed all three points before a late FC United equaliser.
Cheshire coroner Nicholas Rheinberg will open the inquest into the death of Wales football manager Gary Speed tomorrow (November 29) The hearing will be formally opened at 3pm at Warrington Coroner′s Court in Warrington Town Hall.

Nantwich Town return to the Weaver Stadium in Evo-Stik Premier League action when they entertain Buxton today (November 26). The Dabbers have had five straight away games since last playing at home beating neighbours Northwich Vics on November 1.
