Students at Brine Leas and Malbank sixth forms in Nantwich today celebrated a strong set of A-level results.

At Brine Leas, an impressive 54% of grades achieved were A* – B and nearly 80% of grades were A* – C.

The garden, commissioned by Cheshire Police and sponsored by Barclays, highlights the importance of staying safe online and features the Constabulary’s 5Cs (Create, Cover, Confidentiality, Click, Connect) Guide to Online Safety.

Most of the funds, £13,157 with more donations still to come, was handed over by members of Reaseheath’s Student Association to local representatives of Diabetes UK at the Student Summer Ball.

Two young farmers are looking forward to global travel thanks to an annual scholarship run by Reaseheath College and the Cheshire Agricultural Society.

Sarah Heath, a trainee land agent from Tarporley, and Rebecca Kelsall, a herdswoman from Sandbach, have each been awarded £2,000 John Platt Travel Scholarships.
