Cheshire Police warned people tempted to steal electrical cables for scrap metal, they could pay with their lives. Thieves have been targeting grids, lead, lightning conductors and risking their lives trying to steal live electricity cables.

Reaseheath College equine students got down to the bare bones of the horse’s skeleton thanks to a pot of paint and a bit of expert help. Gillian Higgins, of ‘Horses Inside Out’, showed how the horse’s body dictates its movement by drawing bones, muscles and tendons in luminous, washable paint on chestnut mare Montana and showjumper Bing.

Firefighters from Nantwich were called out to tackle a rubbish fire on Cheerbrook Road, Willaston. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel shortly before 10am today (November 7). The cause is being investigated.
