Residents raise fears over Hack Green travellers’ site plan near Nantwich

Residents are fighting plans to turn a former RAF camp near Nantwich into a travellers’ camp.

If given the go ahead, it would see the Hack Green RAF Camp on Coole Lane, Austerson, turned into nine large acre-size plot for travelling Showpeople’s families.

South Cheshire Macmillan Cancer Unit volunteers honoured

Volunteers at Nantwich’s local Macmillan Cancer Unit have won a national award for their long service in supporting cancer sufferers.

Gill Pass and Lorna Lakey were presented with a Bronze Five-Year Service Award for their time at Leighton Hospital’s Macmillan centre by Mayor Pam Minshall and Macmillan senior development manager Nicola Cook.
