Residents angry over Coole Lane’s removal from winter gritting routes say it has had an immediate chaotic impact on the busy rural road.
The first major cold snap of the winter led to a temporary closure of the road which connects Nantwich and Audlem after police were called to an accident yesterday (November 29).
Four people were injured and taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A534 Wrexham Road near Nantwich.
The accident happened at Burland and one of the injured had to be flown by air ambulance to hospital after being cut free from the wreckage.
