There is “a high chance” of a fourth wave of Covid-19 cases in Cheshire East if residents do not follow government guidance.
That’s the warning from CEC Labour leader Sam Corcoran, despite a drop in cases to 51.8 in 100,000 – below the England average of 58.7.

A male swan that was very popular with visitors to Queens Park in Crewe has passed away.
The swan – known as ‘Duke’ – was the longest resident male swan at the park.
Crewe’s new-look historic Market Hall is almost ready to be unveiled, says Cheshire East Council.

The number of Covid-19 patients in Cheshire’s hospitals continues to fall, according to the latest NHS England data.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals Trust was caring for 44 coronavirus patients in Leighton Hospital as of Tuesday (March 9).
