Charity-funded scalp coolers are helping Crewe and Nantwich cancer patients keep their hair while undergoing chemotherapy.

Two coolers have been funded by Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity to help with treatment at Leighton Hospital’s Macmillan Cancer Unit.

Ethan Carroll, 18, was encouraged at the start of 2020 to take on a challenge of swimming 20 lengths of the pool on 20 occasions at the Lifestyle Centre in Crewe.

Five baby robins are now in the care of RSPCA Stapeley staff after being found in a nest in the chassis of a car – at the end of a 200 mile journey!

A charity supporting South Cheshire children and adults with autism has received a boost from a nearby company as it introduces more popular gaming sessions at its specialist centre in Crewe.

Teenager Aiden Taylor, who has the condition and is a keen gamer, was the inspiration behind the donation to Autism Inclusive from security firm Alpha Omega based on Crewe Business Park.
