A Nantwich student was left star-struck when she met up with a Hollywood actor in London. Alice Thompson, 21, was given the chance to meet Australian actor Hugh Jackman and see the film premiere of his latest movie Real Steel at the Empire Leicester Square.
A Nantwich village play group could close because it is struggling to recruit volunteer helpers. Willaston Pre-School group, which has been open for 25 years, will be forced to close if it can’t find a chairman, said Cllr Brian Silvester.
Staff at Stapeley Grange Wildlife centre are taking a special art exhibition onto the road around Cheshire. The ‘Wildlife Art Adventure’ display will be open to visitors at the Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich until January 2012. A remembrance service will be taking place in South Cheshire in November to celebrate the lives of children and babies.
