The annual event, this Saturday January 24, celebrates the Battle of Nantwich of 1644 – a key battle during the English Civil War.

Grandfather Robert Betteley, 59, died despite desperate efforts by paramedics to save him after the crash outside the entrance to Alvaston Hall Hotel yesterday (January 13).
