Thousands pay tribute in Nantwich on centenary of Armistice Day

Thousands of people packed in to Nantwich town centre today to pay tribute to those who died in war on the centenary of Armistice Day.

Crowds watched a parade of cadets, veterans, emergency services and dignitaries which arrived at the town square from the Civic Hall.

This rare silver fox has been admitted to the RSPCA wildlife centre in Stapeley, Nantwich, after being found in a Cheshire garden.

Nantwich students and residents stage Armistice commemorations

Reaseheath College students in Nantwich commemorated the 100th anniversary of the World War One Armistice with poignant displays of what the significant anniversary means to them.

Activities across college culminated with a display of 1,400 crosses made by construction students and laid out by countryside students on the college’s main lawn to spell the words ‘Thank You’.

Number of Cheshire people seeking help over child sex images doubles in six months

The number of people in Cheshire seeking help to stop looking at sexual images of children online has more than doubled in just six months, latest figures have shown.

In the six months between July 2017 and January 2018, 163 people in the county contacted Stop it Now!, the child sexual abuse prevention project run by child protection charity The Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
