Health chiefs in mid and south Cheshire are set to cut more than £20 million from their budgets while transforming care in the community.
NHS South Cheshire CCG – which covers Crewe, Nantwich, Middlewich, Sandbach and Alsager – is aiming to cut £10.5 million from its budget by March 31 2020.

Lords are calling on the Government to consider scrapping plans to build a new HS2 line through Cheshire’s countryside and upgrade the existing mainline instead.
Passengers had to be evacuated after a fire broke out on a train between Nantwich and Crewe.
