British Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey has officially opened the newly refurbished Nantwich Leisure Centre.
The centre and Barony Sports complex has recently undergone a £2.2 million investment in partnership with Cheshire East Council, with a new gym extension, indoor group cycling studio, new-look reception and Taste for Life café.

Cheshire East Council needs to invest as much as it can now to improve its highways to avoid closing unsafe roads in the future, a councillor warned.
It comes as the authority has included £7 million in its capital programme in 2022/3 for highways.
A regular Nantwich “Parkrun” event on the Barony could be a few strides closer after councillors backed the idea amid the park’s “masterplan” consultation.
