Vision for Nantwich unveils hotel, shops and apartments plan for St Anne’s Lane

Detailed plans have been submitted to turn the St Anne’s Lane former gasworks site in Nantwich into a riverside hotel, shops and apartments complex.

The proposal, put forward by Vision for Nantwich Ltd, would see two main four-storey blocks built either side of the extension to Wyche House Bank.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is rated “good” in most areas, according to an independent review by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS).

The Government announced in March it is backing updated plans for the Crewe hub, which would support up to seven high-speed trains an hour.

Action is being demanded to fill Cheshire East’s potholes after councillors complained that patched up roads are breaking back up.

Cllr Mick Warren, independent member for Macclesfield East, told Thursday’s full council meeting that two potholes in his ward have broken back up just three weeks after they were repaired.
