Hack Green travellers site plan re-classed as “major development”

Campaigners are urging residents to back their fight to stop a former RAF camp near Nantwich turned into a large-scale site for travelling showpeople.

The call for help comes as the Hack Green plans were re-classified as a major development by Cheshire East Council, the size of Nantwich town centre (pictured).

The Government has delayed again a ruling on the controversial Muller Homes’ bid to build 1,100 homes on green fields in Stapeley, Nantwich.

A report from a public inquiry into Muller’s appeals was presented to the Secretary of State earlier this year.
