Ten men from South Cheshire have been given Football Banning Orders (FBOs) after they were involved in disorder at a match between Macclesfield Town and Crewe Alexandra.

Towards the end of the game at the Moss Rose Stadium in Macclesfield both sides scored within a minute of each other.

An angry Nantwich store boss told how a gang of four men stole hundreds of pounds of items and assaulted the 66-year-old owner as he gave chase.

Phil Hinton, manager of Jepsons menswear on Hospital Street, said furious staff chased after the gang who they believe were part of an unauthorised travellers group on Barony Park.

The incident happened at the Coco beauty salon on Mill Street when two men described as “foreign” in appearance entered the store.

South Cheshire couple jailed for Class A drug dealing

A South Cheshire couple have both been jailed for three years after they admitted dealing class A drugs in Crewe.

Stephen Brian Jones, 36, and Donna Peacock, 31, of Fanshawe Walk, Crewe, (pictured) both pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and one count of possessing criminal property.

Second man charged with manslaughter over death of Audlem dad

A second man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Audlem dad Adam Lovatt, police have confirmed.

The manslaughter charge was added to the indictment against Nicolas Hill, 35, of Moorsfield Avenue, Audlem at Liverpool Crown Court.

Two men charged after cannabis farm found in Wistaston

Two men have been charged after a large number of cannabis plants were found at an address in Wistaston.

Besnik Gjashi and Ilirjan Hasani, both of no fixed address, were arrested after police officers executed a warrant on Valley Road, Wistaston, at around 3.20am yesterday (Wednesday June 26).

A Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Crewe & Nantwich has called on Cheshire East Council to use a Court Injunction to prevent further unauthorised encampments on Barony Park.

Cheshire Police are resolving around 3% of reported crimes with Criminal Resolution orders, according to latest figures.

And CRs, which do not appear on a criminal record or standard DBS check, have been used for serious crimes such as possession of a firearm, rape of a girl under 13, other sex offences and aggravated burglary.
