Staff at St Luke’s Hospice are celebrating 25 years of its lottery which has helped support patient care across Cheshire.

Since the first draw in July 1994, the lottery has become St Luke’s biggest single source of income.

Nantwich college students raise more than £16,000 for charities

Big-hearted students and staff at Reaseheath College in Nantwich raised more than £16,000 for charities during the academic year.

Most of the funds, £13,157 with more donations still to come, was handed over by members of Reaseheath’s Student Association to local representatives of Diabetes UK at the Student Summer Ball.

Chris Bailey joined more than 20 other people at Zip World in Penrhyn Quarry on Velocity 2 – whizzing through the air above breathtaking views at speeds over 100mph.

Almost 1,500 emergency food parcels issued by Nantwich Foodbank in 2018-19

Nantwich Foodbank handed out 1,474 emergency food parcels to local people in last year, its latest figures show.

The shocking figures reveal three-day emergency food parcels given out between April 2018 and March 2019, with 651 going to children, was an 11% rise no the previous year.
