A Nantwich school had the kettle on all morning to help raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support. Sound and District Primary PTA invited parents and visitors to a coffee morning where mums and Year 6 helpers served cuppas and cakes.

A woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of a road accident by fire crews on a busy road near Nantwich. The accident happened on the A534 near the village of Ridley, and involved a car and a second vehicle towing a horsebox.
