2021 marked the 100th anniversary of the Nantwich & District Branch of the Royal British Legion.
The branch was formed on September 30 1921 and on September 30 2021 they were awarded a 100th Anniversary Pennant by the North West Region.
London Fashion Week is usually held twice a year, in February and September, and there are likewise specific men’s fashion week shows in January and June.
As a “Big Four” fashion week alongside Milan, Paris, and New York, London owns a significant piece of the worldwide market and known for its inventive creations.

The heaviest six bells in the St Mary’s Church tower in Wistaston will celebrate their centenary this year.
A dedication service took place for the bells back on February 19, 1921.
The annual Battle of Nantwich & Winter Fayre and Civil War author event in Nantwich and battlefield tour in Acton were all cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A video exploring the history of the Airman’s Grave in Nantwich has been produced as part of the new “Hallowed Ground” YouTube series of historical narrations.
The video, just 15 minutes long, was made by Cast The Past Production, a group who aim to bring communities closer through stories of their local history.
The Joey the Swan recreation ground in Wistaston is named after an adult male cob swan that lived there in the 1930s.
In the 1930s a pair of swans – a cob and a pen – took up permanent residence on a pond or ‘stew’, opposite the Wistaston Hall.
As the annual “Holly Holy Day” celebration nears, historical writer Mark Turnbull retells the little known story of a regiment of women who helped save the town just days before the 1644 Battle of Nantwich.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
