The new Crewe Engineering and Design UTC has been granted planning permission to allow construction to begin.



The new £10.6 million University Technical College will regenerate the heart of Crewe, with building work on the Victoria Centre, West Street campus starting in January next year.

South Cheshire business bosses have welcomed today’s Government announcement that Crewe will have an HS2 rail link and hub station open in the next 12 years.

The decision could create quarter of a trillion pound growth in the area’s economy, according to Cheshire East Council Leader Cllr Michael Jones.
