Twenty-five employees from the Crewe office of 1825 took part in a fundraising walk from Audlem to Barbridge in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

The staff from the financial planning arm of Standard Life, walked 18.25 kilometres between the villages.

They set off at noon from Audlem and members of public provided the team with friendly support and encouragement on the way.

The group took a well-deserved break at the halfway point in Nantwich, and concluded their challenge at 5.30pm in Barbridge.

St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire supports people dealing with life-limiting illnesses in mid and south Cheshire.

Mike Cullinane, regional manager at 1825 North West, said: “With a bit of help from their four-legged friends and support from friends and family the team battled through the blisters and rain to complete the 18km charity walk.

“It really is brilliant to see so many 1825 colleagues come together to do their bit for an incredible cause.

“St Luke’s Hospice offers life changing support to people in mid and south Cheshire, we hope our donations can help to make a real difference to local people’s lives.

“I am so proud of the team and would like to thank the public for their generous donations.

“I look forward to building on the success of the walk with future charity events.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
