Nominations for the 7th Nantwich Food Award categories can now be made by customers or businesses, say organisers.

To nominate your favourite business you have until June 4 to do so.

Nantwich Food Award organiser Sophie Ammar-Fovargue is gearing up for a busy time ahead.

She said: “Nantwich is a real gem for food and drink, so the awards recognise the quality of businesses and their importance to the local economy.

“This year we have retained the same Food Award categories as 2018, because of the incredible feedback we received last year regarding their relevance and popularity.

“Now it’s over to the public to pick their favourites.”

The Nantwich Food Award categories are:

Best Newcomer
Best Pub with Food
Best Local Producer
Bar Stars
Excellence in Customer Care award
Best Cafe or Coffee Shop
Best Restaurant (including hotel restaurant)

The awards give the public an opportunity to nominate and vote for their favourite local eateries, bars and producers.

Headline sponsor for the Nantwich Food Awards, Applewood Independent, are lending their support for the second year.

Managing Director David Pritchard said: “Applewood Independent are proud to support this amazing event which recognises excellence in the local hospitality sector.

“We are really looking forward to the glittering gala evening in September, when all the awards are presented; and to meeting and congratulating the winners.

“It was a wonderful occasion last year, so all of the Applewood team will be there again at Nantwich Civic Hall for the Food Award Presentations.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
