A Nantwich entrepreneur who founded the UK’s #1 craft gin and spirits discount club has toasted her 250th member.
Kate Carney is celebrating the milestone just six months after setting up the new gin community.
Her idea, called “Sip & Share”, started in October 2020 as a membership community showing off British premium craft spirits and helping members, who join for £1 get exclusive discounts on products and events.
Since then, Sip & Share has gone from strength to strength.
Kate said: “It’s fantastic to welcome member number 250 to our community – members from as far as the Scottish highlands and Northern Ireland, down to the coast of Cornwall and Kent!”
Kate has also been given a new role as radio presenter on Cheshire station Radio Northwich.
Her new “Tipples & Tunes” show launched yesterday (June 17) and will be held every other Thursday 8-10pm.
Her show will highlight different British craft spirits businesses, teach listeners how to make cocktails and share music to boogie around your kitchen too.
Kate added: “We are hoping that this new radio show can show the special spirits to communities across the UK and teach them about the time, energy and detail which goes into making the nations favourite boozy tipple.”

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
