Accountancy firm Afford Bond has strengthened its team with the appointment of tax specialist Tim Lwin to its Wilmslow office.
Tim has more than 20 years’ experience advising owner-managed businesses about tax mitigation on current profits, future-proofing measures and securing refunds on overpaid tax.
He also offers expertise in Research and Development (R&D) Tax Relief.
Tim is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant and his career has included work at internationally-recognised names such as Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Andersen, before he joined regional firms to advise local family businesses.
Since then, Tim has led tax teams in Cheshire focused on succession planning, valuations and creative tax industry reliefs for businesses and profit extraction planning for high net worth individuals.
Afford Bond director Peter O’Malley said: “Our philosophy is very much about working closely with our clients to understand not only their business needs and aspirations, but how that fits with their wider lifestyles and goals.
“We know that Tim really understands and embraces this.”
Tim added: “I am delighted to be joining Afford Bond.
“I have already met many of my new colleagues and know that my approach with clients will be a good fit – as well as delivering tax planning advice that meets their commercial objectives with timely, tangible results.”

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
