A Nantwich businesswoman is among 16 in Cheshire to be shortlisted as finalists for the 2019 Enterprise Vision Awards.
Emma Dechoux, who runs Inspired Learning, will be competing to win one of the highly acclaimed EVAS2019.
The EVAS are the largest business awards dedicated solely to women outside London.
Emma launched Inspired Learning in April last year, offering training and coaching solutions to organisations and individuals.
She moved to Nantwich 13 years ago, worked in Learning and Development for various businesses for 14 years and decided to take the leap into self employment.
She recently lured her partner Marc Shepherd (pictured together) to work full-time on the business to help cope with the demand after a successful first year.
Other finalists include TV’s The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, Tanya Bardsley, who runs her own jewellery, gifts and home accessories business in Wilmslow and is up for the Business Woman of the Year award.
They also include Codilia Gapare from Northwich whose own experience with cancer prompted her to create C-Lash, providing false eye-lashes for chemotherapy patients.
Kay Johnson, a qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, set up Healthful Pets in Northwich to provide a range of healthy pet products online, and Rachel Foy of Soul Fed Woman empowers women to free themselves from food obsession, body hatred and dieting.
The 16 have been chosen from over 1,000 entrants from across the North West.
Coral Horn, of Pink Link Ladies Networking, who founded the EVAS nine years ago, said: “A record number of nominations were received this year,
reinforcing what we have been shouting about for almost a decade – that the North West is a hotbed of highly talented women!
“The combination of resilience, determination, hard work and a touch of magic has made it particularly difficult for the judges to whittle down the applications to the EVAS2019 finalists. Congratulations, ladies, you are already winners in our eyes!”
The awards will be presented at a glitzy black tie event on Friday, September 27 at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool when the region’s top businesswomen come together.
Tickets for the EVAS2019 awards ceremony are available here or at www.enterprisevisionawards.co.uk or direct from Pink Link on 01253 425443.

It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
