Staff at Nantwich cheese company J.S. Bailey are celebrating their on-site shop and café Calveley Mill, as part of Local Business Week.
The shop and café have become a popular haunt with locals and visitors to the area.
In 2015, J.S. Bailey opened the doors to its on-site café and shop named Calveley Mill following local demand for their cheese.
The past four years has seen the café and shop go from strength to strength..
As well as selling the Calveley Mill brand, much of the shop and café’s products are locally sourced.
From gin distilled in Cheshire to locally produced teabags, ice cream made down the road to real ales brewed in Cheshire.
Staff believe the focus on local products has been an important factor in their success.
Product manager at J.S. Bailey, Justin Bailey, said: “It is wonderful to see the Cheshire community supporting a local business like Calveley Mill.
“The responses we have received are a testament to the fantastic customer service and dedication to a quality product of the Calveley Mill team.
“We’re lucky to have so many fantastic local producers in the area, we’re keen to stock and promote local brands wherever possible and the quality is fantastic.”
Last year saw the renovation of Calveley Mill’s outside seating area, the completion of a state of the art, glass fronted extension.
A recent grant means the business is continuing to expand for an 11,500 sqft packing and storage facility on-site, allowing the company to increase production and to create 15 new jobs in the area.
Local Business Week takes place from May 13-19.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
