Physiotherapists at a Crewe and Nantwich firm are celebrating 25 years at the forefront of health and wellbeing provision to clients across the region.
Founded in 1994, CTC Healthcare has grown from a one man physiotherapy clinic based in a GP surgery in Crewe to a large operation with five clinics
providing physiotherapy, acupuncture, sports massage, complementary and holistic therapies.
A team of 15 Chartered and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered physiotherapists now work from clinics in Crewe, Nantwich, Congleton, Stoke and Stafford.
Over the years the company has also grown into a major provider of health screening and injury prevention services to businesses up and down the country.
Specialists work with employees to boost their health and wellbeing and save companies time and money lost in sickness absence.
Founder Rick Carter has worked as a physiotherapist in the Premier league at Nottingham Forest , West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea and Manchester United as well as for local sides Crewe Alexandra, Stoke City and Port Vale.
He said: “Our company strapline remains ‘making you feel better’ and over the years we have seen a welcome shift in how people look after themselves especially in the workplace.
“We have encouraged a more holistic approach -caring for the whole person – mind, body and soul.
“Prevention is very much regarded ‘better than cure’ and companies that we work with see the benefits of supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of employees.
“Injury prevention, screening and resilience programmes are built into HR strategies designed to prevent sickness absence and support staff morale.
“The bottom line is fit, happy and healthy staff are more productive and engaged.”
Workforces benefit from health screening and lifestyle advice and as First Aid providers, accredited by Qualsafe, ctchealthcare runs courses to pass on life-saving skills to people from all walks of life.
Mr Carter, a specialist in sport and soft tissues injuries, is also one of few private practitioners in the country qualified to prescribe medication.
He added: “It’s been a long journey but we are proud to be regarded as a UK leader in the field of injury prevention in business, sport and the local community.”
Physios and admin staff will celebrate the 25 years milestone with a party at Residence in Nantwich.

It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
