Entries are rolling into the South Cheshire Chamber Business Awards as plans for the 25th anniversary event get into full swing.
The Chamber’s milestone awards ceremony has all the hallmarks of being another success at Reaseheath College on Friday, November 18 with interest registered in all the various award categories.
With the deadline for entries on September 23, organisers say now is the time to get in the running.
To support hopefuls in their bid for glory in the Oscars-style ceremony, the Chamber is staging workshops offering tips on ‘How to complete an award-winning entry’.
The next one takes place at Reaseheath College on September 5.
Chamber events and marketing coordinator Dominic Hibbert said: “The Chamber Business Awards is our key event of the year, staged to celebrate all that is great and good about the South Cheshire business community.
“We are delighted this 25th anniversary milestone event has attracted such interest.
“Entries are off to a flying start and already there’s a buzz about who will be honoured from the business community this year. But with the deadline just a few weeks away, now is the time to get in the running.
“Entry is straight-forward, free and offers a fantastic marketing opportunity for South Cheshire businesses of all sizes.
“We want to encourage everyone to be part of this special night.”
The awards include categories recognising good deeds in the community and dedication to nurturing fresh talent.
Supporting the search are several of the area’s largest employers and previous winners.
The nine categories and their sponsors are:
*Ambassador of the Year – Cheshire East Council
*Apprentice of the Year – Reaseheath College
*Business of the Year (25 plus Employees) – Cheshire College South & West

Hopefuls are asked about their achievements, how they attract new business, what makes their company different and any obstacles or industry issues they have overcome.
Judges, drawn from sponsor organisations, will confirm their finalists on October 5.
Win or lose, the black tie ceremony is a night to remember in itself and for those who don’t make it onto the winners’ podium, there are Highly Commended certificates.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
