Former players Mike Carr and Scott Williams, two of the three directors of Amplo Group, have struck a deal to sponsors Nantwich Town FC.

Mike played for the first team 2010-11 and Scott played U7s to U13s and then U21s.

Amplo Group is a hybrid of brands focusing on finance and property, and is parent company to Amplo Commercial Finance.

The Crewe-based firm was established in 2018, and has been shortlisted for Best Bridging Broker Newcomer at the Bridging & Commercial 2021 awards.

It has hired six new employees since the beginning of the year with future recruitment plans in place.

Scott Williams, director, said: “This one means a lot to us!

“When the opportunity came up for us to be a sponsor and give back to the club that gave us some great times on the pitch, we couldn’t say no.

“As a local business, we love to support the local community any way that we can whether that be local sponsorships or fundraising activities, our recent one being a charity walk in aid of Smile Group, a charity based in Nantwich.”

Tim Crighton, NTFC marketing director, added: “It is a real pleasure to welcome the Amplo Group as commercial partners to Nantwich Town Football Club.

“New partners are always much appreciated by the football club in these challenging times.

“We look forward to working closely with them for many years to come.

“They have 3 pitch-side boards and the vibrant brand colours certainly brighten up the stadium!

“They are a local company, and the directors live in Nantwich too, and with some history with the club.

“Both Mike and Scott represented the club between them from junior level to the first team, so it is lovely to welcome them back to the Optimum Pay Stadium.

“Hopefully, our fans can repay their support of the Dabbers by using the Amplo Group for residential and commercial mortgages, lettings and commercial finance.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
