Bobby Davro - panto

TV and stage comedian Bobby Davro and X Factor finalist Amelia Lily will star in Sleeping Beauty Christmas panto at Crewe Lyceum Theatre this year.

Davro and Lily will also be joined by Cheshire’s best-loved panto dame, Malcolm Lord, for the production to run from December 10 to January 2.

Davro is well-known for his illustrious TV career which has seen him present his own series Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby’s Sketch Pad, TV Weekly, Public Enemy Number One, Rock with Laughter and Run the Risk, and host 65 episodes of Winner Takes All.

He has also appeared in EastEnders playing loveable rogue Vinnie Monks, donned skates on Dancing on Ice, and came fourth in Celebrity Big Brother.

No stranger to pantomime, Davro has delighted theatre audiences year after year as one of panto-land’s most sought-after comedians and will be Princess Beauty’s best friend, Muddles.

Singer and television personality Lily became a household name when she achieved third place in the eighth series of The X Factor, going on to reach number 2 in the UK Charts with her single You Bring Me Joy.

In 2017 she was runner-up in Celebrity Big Brother and in 2020 she began appearing as a series regular in the hit MTV reality series Geordie Shore.

Having performed for over four decades on television and theatre Malcolm is best-known through appearing for 13 years in the classic children’s programme Rainbow for ITV, initially playing George, the pink hippo, and then taking on the role of Bungle Bear.

Sleeping Beauty is produced by the world’s biggest pantomime producer, Crossroads Pantomimes.

Chief Executive Michael Harrison said: “The combination of the legendary comic talent of Bobby Davro and the stunning vocals of Amelia Lily will create a truly magical show for our Crewe Lyceum audience this Christmas.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
